ABOUT

Artwerk is both an experimental art practice and a project in intentional living.  We combine social permaculture design, simple DIY building skills, and contemporary cultural practices in what we do. The project is_In Development because development is ongoing,  we work to develop social assets, and the work entails an integration with personal development by nature.  Our site is designed to evolve, build slowly, use sustainable materials, and generate the means to share with others.

(About you)

Starting on an uncleared remote bush block with no money, services, or assets, we set out to build a life with no debt and more creative freedom.

We have done that now.

We look forward to sharing what we learned about creative building development, starting from scratch.

Appreciate what is free

We love living near beaches looking over woolly kelp-forests. We are beginning to see time differently.

The work was intense.  But now we have time to explore how best to live.  We are isolated, and need to connect more with others.  But we are not alone.

We have plans that do not require polluting, unwilling complexity, or debt.

(About plans)
               To us, to belong means:

Being connected, real-time.

Self-knowledge: to distinguish  real wants and needs from what others might want or prescribe.

Spending time in healthy, meaningful pursuits.

Caring how  actions impact broader life.

Energy and joy in what we do.

This werk is ongoing, or 'In Development'.
